Zeolites

The synthetic zeolite production program includes commercially the most popular Aluminium-rich zeolites of the LTA and FAU types, namely 3A, 4A, 5A and 13X zeolite. The products from this series have very pronounced ion exchange and adsorption properties, and the stable crystal structure with a regular arrangement of openings and cavities makes them molecular sieves with outstanding and controlled selectivity. Additionally, thanks to the high Al content in the structure of these zeolites as well as the bound metal cations, these materials also express catalytic properties, and can be considered as a kind of micro-reactors. Production processes are strictly controlled in order to obtain products that meet specific application conditions according to the needs of different customers.

These zeolites meet a wide range of applications and represent inevitable raw materials for a number of industrial and chemical processes in which they play the role of ion exchangers, adsorbents, desiccants, molecular sieves and separators or catalysts. Some of the basic examples of application are the production of powder detergents, drying and purification of industrial solutions, drying, separation and purification of gases, purification of drinking and waste water, stabilization of PVC materials, etc. The pharmaceutical industry is also an area of ​​wide application of these zeolites where they are used in production operations but also in product formulation and packaging. In agriculture, these materials are used in the formulation of plant protection agents, soil conditioners or as additives in the production of animal feed.
