On October 6, 1978, the "Birač" alumina factory was opened in Zvornik, with a capacity of 600,000 tons of metallurgical alumina per year.

Alumina factory „Birač“ is undergoing intensive development in the field of alumo and aluminosilicate chemistry, starting the production of synthetic 4A zeolite for detergents, water glass, ceramic fibers and white fillers.

Improvement of production through the construction of a vertical kiln, with a capacity of 1,200 to 1,400 tons per day.

Transformation of business strategy and transition to specialty products, with the introduction of industrial production of 3A zeolites of various types and white hydrates.

Implementation of new production lines for dry and ground hydrates, finely precipitated hydrates, chromatographic silica gel, high-silicate zeolites and corundum, with expansion of production capacity.

Pavgord acquired 100% ownership of Alumina doo and became the majority owner of Boksit AD Milići, ensuring a reliable supply of bauxite from its own mine. Alumina doo was declared the largest exporter in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which further confirms our strategic position in the aluminosilicate industry.
