“Alumina” received two awards from the Chamber of Commerce and industry
At the traditional event “Selection of the most successful in the economy of the Republic of Srpska for 2022”, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Srpska, the company “Alumina” was awarded two awards. The largest company from Zvornik received special awards for the implementation of the largest investments and contribution in the field of employment, as well as for the achieved export results in the last year.
In 2022, the company “Alumina” realized investments worth close to 14 million KM. Among the most significant projects is the construction of the “Kestner” evaporation battery, a very important facility in the technological production process, primarily in terms of energy efficiency and reduction of financial costs.
Thanks to the strong investment activity, which amounted to about 110 million KM in the last ten years, the growth of production, increase of business income and new employments were made possible. In the last year alone, 138 new employees got a job at “Alumina”.
As in previous years, the Chamber of Commerce also awarded the largest exporters in the Republic of Srpska.
In 2022, “Alumina” achieved revenue of close to 385 million KM, which enabled it to be the first exporter in the Republic of Srpska, considering that almost all production is placed on the foreign market.
There are currently 37 products in Alumina’s production program, exported to five continents, to approximately 50 countries and cooperating with close to 250 customers.
At a ceremony organized in the KC “Banski Dvor” in Banja Luka, the Assistant director for technical issues at the company “Alumina”, Ph.D. Zoran Obrenović was awarded by the ministers of the Government of the Republic of Srpska, Petar Djokic and Zlatan Klokic.
The management of “Alumina” says that the recognition of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Srpska is a confirmation of the continuous successful work of the company in the past period.
"Since 2013, “Alumina” has recorded a trend of positive business results, constantly expanding its production program and new markets. The awards received are certainly evidence of well- chosen strategic directions of development in the previous period, which led to the fact that our production program significantly changed, modified, and adapted to the market. We are grateful to our employees for their selfless contribution, hard work, and commitment because without them this result would certainly not be what it is.
At the same time, this is also an incentive to pursue our development activities even more in future and to invest significant funds in the revitalization of existing, but also in the procurement of new equipment, especially in the Energy sector, where the situation on the energy market is very complicated. We are therefore continuing our development program through new investments, to ensure the security of business and the future of work factory, but also of all our employees"
